Another great day at Bradders with 20 or more foilers and a few fins. Think
foiling is definitely dominating the sport. Wind was around F4 and thought
about fin on my 146L board, as I have not sailed fin for nearly several
months.
Hooked up 7M to the RF91 Exocet foil board with the 84cm Slingshot front
wing
Today as always was to correct yesterday errors. Track back a couple of
inches To keep the nose up a fraction and allow the down wind leg to have
more comfort with rear foot out of straps i the middle of the back straps.
My harness line are too long, but forgot to adjust them.
Everyone was either planing or flying. All last years learners can now fly,
so its great seeing all the different techniques including Dave Coles max
upwind stance with sail sheeted in the otherside of the board. Si Jam has a
great rear strap technique with the board flying high or low dead
constantly. Nick was very fast - couldn't keep up with his 9M.
Played around with all setting and have now recorded everything setting.
Foiled downwind all he time no issues with foot over middle rear of board.
Unfortunately the wind died while down at Wrabness for my 7M but was
knackered anyway so packed up. Great day and had chats with some new and
long lost friends.
Calorie count was 1750 yet when I ride my bike the same 2 + hours burnt 3k
+ cals. Road Bikes are much harder cardio workout.
Now is the time to return to fin as have sussed foiling. When its windy its
fin, lightwind - foiling
